Home Remodeling on Evergreen Point Road, Medina, WA

The waterfront property on Evergreen Point Road had everything going for it—stunning Lake Washington views, mature landscaping, and a prime Medina address—but the house itself was stuck in a time warp. The new owners, a couple in their forties who’d sold their tech startup, wanted to create their forever home but knew it would require a complete transformation. The interior layout blocked views, the finishes were builder-grade from the 1980s, and the outdoor spaces weren’t designed to take advantage of the spectacular waterfront location. 

During our initial consultation, we stood on their back lawn looking out at the lake and the Seattle skyline beyond, and it became crystal clear what this remodeling project needed to accomplish: break down barriers between inside and outside, frame those million-dollar views, and create a home worthy of its extraordinary setting. Gold Remodeling proposed a whole-home remodeling approach that would be our most ambitious Medina project to date.

The transformation of Evergreen Point Road unfolded over eight months and touched every square foot of the property. We reconfigured the main floor to create an open-concept great room with 16-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that captured panoramic lake views. The kitchen was positioned to face the water, featuring a 12-foot island in leathered granite, custom cabinetry with hidden storage, and a butler’s pantry that kept prep work out of sight during gatherings. We completely rebuilt the primary suite with a private balcony, a luxurious bathroom with a freestanding tub positioned to overlook the lake, and a custom walk-in closet with organizational systems rivaling high-end boutiques. 

Outside, we constructed a multi-level composite deck with an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, seating area, and stairs leading down to their dock. Every material was chosen for durability in the waterfront environment—from weather-resistant siding to impact-rated windows. Our project managers coordinated dozens of tradespeople while ensuring the homeowners could continue living comfortably during construction. The result was nothing short of spectacular: a modern waterfront estate that honored its location while providing every luxury and comfort our clients dreamed of.
